Champagne Olivier Horiot Coffret of 4 bottles ‘Contrees’ BdN 2012

Exclusive selection of only 250 boxes of 4 champagnes.

Three friends (Olivier Horiot, Elise Dechannes, and Mary Lamoureux) have selected four different plots within the same village in the Côte des Bar, Les Riceys. Each year they produce 250 bottles from each of these plots, 100% Pinot Noir, fermented and aged in the same barrels. It’s a playful and, above all, educational endeavor. They say, “Pinot Noir is a ‘sponge of terroir,’ allowing the soils, even those nearby, to express their differences through these four wines.” Val du Clos and Val Bazot are planted on red clay soils, while Escharère and Fragnoy are planted on gray marl.
